This can be used to share files with all devices.Ĭreate the “All” folder in your MEGA cloud and on the Pi open the MEGAsync settings. The other useful trick is to create an “All” folder in your MEGA account. Before I reimage these devices I can shove all the important stuff in the MEGAsync folder and resync it all back when I rebuild the SD card. For example I have folders for “Pi 400” and “Pi Dev” as well as my Lenovo laptop. I can then use the account for other non-Pi related storage and keep things separate. The reason I prefer to use the “Selective Sync” in Step 4 is that I can have an individual folder for each of my Raspberry Pi devices within the MEGA cloud. right click on the MEGA icon on the taskbar and select “Show Status”.There are a number of ways to get files into your MEGA account and have then sync to your Pi:Ĭopy, move or create files in /home/pi/MEGAsync and these will be copied to the folder you specified in Step 4. Install MEGAsync using the following command: sudo apt install. You should see the downloaded megasync deb file. This should navigate to the Downloads directory and list the contents. Open a Terminal window either using the main Raspberry Menu or the Terminal icon in the top left corner: The download directory is usually /home/pi/Downloads. This will download the latest megasync-#.deb file to your default downloads directory. Click “Keep” if you get a “This type of file can harm your computer” warning.Select “Raspbian 10 (Buster)” and “32-bit”.Under the Platforms menu select “MEGA Desktop App”.To download the MEGAsync package to your Raspberry Pi OS desktop: The first step in setuping up MEGAsync on the Pi is to download the correct package. ![]() Without the password or recovery key you will potentially lose access to your data.
